Yea, this is a old (1993) adventure game for the LucasArts fans.

OLD DOS GAME:
=============
This is a dos game so its possible that this game don't work at your pc.

Use tentacle.exe for the game and dott.exe if you don't hear any sound.

Use the F1 key for quit/save/load

If you don't hear music and you are a die hard computer nerd then use DOSBOX.

1. download this game.
2. unpack this game.
3. copy in this example the game to c: hegame

4. download dosbox here:
http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/download.php?main=1
5. start -> program files -> dosbox -> dosbox
6. use this command: mount x c: hegame
7. use this command: x:
8. use this command: dir
now you see the directory for that game.
9. use thie command: tentacle.exe
and the game starts in the dosbox with background music and other effects.

There seems to be a mistake in
6. use this command: mount x c: hegame

This didn't work with my version of dosbox (0.7)

mount x c:hegame

How in the world do I get the sound to work. My game plays, but as soon as a character speaks it cuts off (the sound). I'll hear the beginning of the sentence (ex: when Bernard says "Okay!-...") and then it cuts off. Anyone got an idea on how I can fix this?

all these problems could be caused by the type of system you have or the sound and graphic card. probably the only reliable computer you can play this games is on windows 95

when I use dosbox, it says "directory c doesn't exist", it says "illegal command: x" and it does nothing when i type "tentacle.exe"

Hey Emtch. I think you are having problems with the mounting, right? Try to rename the directory folder to a name with less characters. I had the same issue but after the renaming I was able to mount it.

approx 90% of its size in full version is only sound files

the 250MB is the Remastered version.

I used to love this game. There were always technical issues with the game though e.g sound didnt work properly or it would crash at the beginning. Other than that it was awesome

Download dosbox first. Then check the readme or a forum about dosbox. They will already have a faq that tells you how to use it
